Via Vitae means "the road of life". With this scene I wanted to depict exactly that: life is represented by the huge staircase, which ends with death. I wanted the skull to be part of the mountain, including its hands, but also to look like a specter.
The stones on the left are matte painted (photographic textures as well as painting). Rest is painted in PS.

Via Vitae significa "el camino de la vida". Con esta escena quise representar justamente eso: la vida está simbolizada por las escaleras, las cuales culminan en la muerte. Quería que la calavera pareciera parte de la montaña, incluyendo sus manos, pero también que se viera como un espectro.
Las piedras son matte painting (fotos y pintura digital). El resto está pintado en PS.
