I love it. It truly has a great sense of depth. The background is flawless. The tower is stunning: the lighting really stands out. You can feel the movement in the clouds. The flock of birds really show off its scale too.
My only criticism is for the foreground path leading to the tower. It seems... unfinished or as if it was rushed last minute. If there were more detail added to this path I would of given it a 5 out of 5. It would be nice too if there some banners flying from the smaller spires, or silhouettes of people somehow added somewhere.
Dear JCBarquet, When I first found this picture I was truly amazed. I found this picture by simply searching for a wizzard tower I could build in the popular game called Minecraft. I was looking for a fairly small tower but this just changed my mind entirely. Building the tower itself will take a long time since of its scale and the detail I am going to put into it. I want to post the final build on www.planetminecraft.com (the site were u can upload your projects, kind of like deviantart but for minecraft). If you have any problems on me uploading something about your beautifull piece of art, please respond to this comment. Thanks.
I was just browsing treu some art till i found your work it all looks awsome, I also wanna learn this but dont realy know how to start you got any hint ore tips i could use to start making art like this!
Hi! I don't really understand your question, it all depends on the type of art you want to do... If you are into painting environments digitally and need a place to start I recommend you watch a video by Noah Bradley (just look him up on youtube) where he paints a winter scene, that helped me a bit when I was starting out. I also recommend you read James Gurney's books, they are terrific and will help in any kind of imaginative art you do.
